Delighting audiences since age eleven, Marguerite Nering has performed professionally as a soloist or in groups of every size and style, and for every type of occasion. She is an accomplished pianist, singer, band leader, recording artist, composer, entertainer, educator, author, and lecturer. She possesses a Ph.D. (U Hawaii --Music, Education, MusEd) as well as an M.A. (U Calgary--Music Education, Psychology), a B.Ed. (U Alberta--Music, French), an ARCT (Associate Royal Conservatory of Toronto -- Piano, Theory, Voice).
Marguerite plays music of every style and period—classical, pop, jazz, rock, show tunes, country, ragtime, Latin, blues, ethnic, folk, Dixie, Broadway, and more. An eclectic and versatile performer, she’s at home in many genres, from feature performer to accompanist, from sing-along to background music. She relishes requests and her broad repertoire handles them with ease.
