Marguerite Nering is available for all your piano entertainment needs. She has played all over the world as a soloist on cruise ships, as well as in international hotels, lounges, and piano rooms, such as a lengthy stay at the Ritz Carlton in Osaka, Japan.
She often entertains at major hotels and venues in the Calgary/Banff area such as Fairmont Palliser, Banff Springs, Chateau Lake Louise, etc. as well as in Honolulu, Mexico, and more. Her warm personality and excellent audience rapport combined with her deep feeling for music, her tremendous capability to play anything by ear, and her ability to sight-read expertly, make her much in demand and highly popular with her audiences.
As a leading member of the 30-piece Southern Alberta Show Band ♫♪♬ Hepplewhyte ♫♪♬ Marguerite completed European tours and made recordings. Her broad musical experiences include directing many musicals and operettas at the community level (e.g. Mame, Camelot, etc.), and at all levels in the public school system where she served as a Music, French, and Drama instructor.
Marguerite was leader of her popular Southern Alberta band ♫♪♬ The Nering Quartet ♫♪♬ for several years. She also was pianist in the Big Band ♫♪♬ The MedHatters ♫♪♬.
